The Animal League of Green Valley will host the 20th Annual Blessing of the Animals Sunday, March 1, at 2 p.m. at the Animal League in Sahuarita. The theme is “Talk to the Animals,” taken from a popular song from the film Dr. Dolittle, based on books written by British author Hugh Lofting.

If you have lost a pet, bring your memories for a special blessing. The animals residing at the facility will also attend the service and are looking for good homes.

The annual blessing offers individuals an opportunity to celebrate the unique bond shared with animals.

The Rev. Madonna Moess will conduct the service. Moess retired from the Green Valley Community Church after 22 years on staff.

The Animal League of Green Valley is at 1600 W. Duval Mine Road. Information: 625-3170.
