Tips for grandparents

Published: Saturday, December 6, 2008 10:22 PM MST

Editor:

We had our grandchildren, aged 2 1/2 and 8 months visiting for Thanksgiving and we’d like to pass along a few tips for grandparents in Green Valley/Sahuarita.

1) Installing an infant car seat in your vehicle can be difficult and tricky.

The terrific firefighters at the fire station just off Duval Mine Road will help you with the installation.

Stop by or give them a call and arrange for a time to have this done.

2) A day out at the Reid Park Zoo is perfect for young and old alike.

We often take our visitors to the Desert Museum which is always enjoyable but we tend to overlook the fact that Tucson has a great zoo which also needs our support.

3) The Tucson Children’s Museum is another fun place for the kids and the adults will learn some new things too.

It’s easy to get to, on 6th Avenue just south of Broadway, and is a great outing in any weather.
