Howell named Assistant Vice Chancellor for marketing

The Pima Community College Board of Governors has appointed A. Rachelle Howell as Assistant Vice Chancellor for marketing.

In this capacity, she will direct all college marketing and public relations efforts, as well as activities and logistical plans for the College’s 40th Anniversary celebration in 2009.

Howell has more than 16 years of experience in marketing, research, business planning/consulting and strategic planning in the private sector and post-secondary education. She holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration with a specialization in marketing and travel/tourism from the University of New Mexico, and a master’s degree in business administration from Our Lady of the Lake University in San Antonio, Texas.

“We are very pleased that Rachelle has joined our team,” said Chancellor Roy Flores. “Her background and expertise in combining business development with marketing and communications is of tremendous value to the College, as we work to provide access to learning in new ways while developing and strengthening ties to our community and business partners.”
