JEANETTE H. LAUER passed away Nov. 12, 2008, in Tucson after a brief illness.

Born on Nov. 18, 1922, in Cattaraugus, N.Y. to Walter J. and Lydia Wulf Krager, she graduated from Cattaraugus High School and University of Buffalo. She worked for Union Carbide in Buffalo, N.Y. as a chemical librarian. She married Wilbur H. Lauer in 1952 and lived in Buffalo many years. After retirement, they moved to Green Valley in 1985 and were active in church and community.

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, and sister Mary J. Krager. She is survived by brother Richard (Marilyn) Krager of Pittsford, N.Y.; sisters Norma Krager of Cattaraugus and Donna (David) Lyon of Sandy, Utah; seven nieces and nephews; one grandniece and one grandnephew.

Private interment will be at Green Valley Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the La Posada Scholarship fund, c/o La Posada Foundation, 350 E. Morningside Road, Green Valley, AZ 85614. Condolences to the family may be sent to Norma Krager, Cattaraugus, NY.
