LETA F. KILLIAN, born in Los Angeles, Calif. on Nov. 3, 1940,

died at Tucson Medial Center on Nov. 6, 2008.

Leta graduated from Westchester High in 1958, and Santa Monica City College in 1960.

She is survived by Dennis W. Killian, her husband of 47 years; daughters Denise M. Killian and Dr. Colleen M. Killian; and son Sean P. Killian.

Leta moved to San Dimas, Calif. in 1967, where she was very active in Girl Scouts, PTA and Little League.

She moved to Sahuarita in 1995, where she was active in the Red Cross, Sahuarita Team Officers Prevention (STOP), the Los Colonias Homeowners Assoc. and Sahuarita Elks Chapter #2851 (Charter Member).

A memorial service will be held at the Tucson Church of the Brethren, 2200 N. Dodge Blvd., Tucson at 10 a.m. on Nov. 15, 2008.

In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations to the Arizona Cancer Center in her memory.

Donations made in her name will fund research in detection and treatment of GI/stomach cancer.
