A spaghetti dinner fundraiser held for Great Expectations Academy on Oct. 18 brought in $2,800 for the Sahuarita charter school, which was burglarized in September. The fundraiser, held at Green Valley Masonic Lodge No. 71, was hosted by Santa Cruz Valley United Methodist Church, which holds its Sunday services at the school, as well as local cub scout Pack 321. The event was supported by many local business including KGVY radio. Here Grace Olsen, a student at Great Expectations and a Santa Cruz Valley United Methodist Church member, proudly presents the proceeds to Great Expectations Director Beth Phillips, center. Grace is surrounded by fellow church members as well as local cub scout participants, led by John Hoover, right.
