Refreshing letter

Editor:

I am very tardy in writing this, however, I still wish to comment on the letter in the Friday, Oct. 3 paper by Hilda Zahn Spagna referring to Down Syndrome children.

Her letter was such a breath of fresh air.

Not only gentle and loving, but also such a relief from all the political “hoopla.”

I, too, am of the generation where these children were labled “Mongolian idiots.” How horrific!

Thank goodness that is no longer in the vocabulary.

Thank you, Mrs. Spagna for a refreshing sweet letter.

And thank you Green Valley News for printing it.
