Roberta’s Beauty Salon was burglarized last week, Pima County Sheriff’s reports said.

The suspect took four clippers, valued at $300, and a small amount of cash. The burglary took place sometime between 6 p.m. Wednesday and 8 a.m. Thursday, reports said.

There was no evidence of forced entry.

This is this sixth business burglary in the Green Valley/Sahuarita area since September.

In each case, the suspect or suspects reportedly gained entry through picking the locks and then relocking the doors, Sheriff’s reports said.

  • A man suffering multiple gunshot wounds told Border Patrol agents Monday that he had been robbed and assaulted in Mexico, Pima County Sheriff’s reports said.

The 30-year-old man, a Mexican citizen and a legal resident of the United States, told agents Monday he was visiting his mother at her ranch just south of the U.S.-Mexico border when the assault occurred.

He reportedly stopped to help a car parked of the side of the road when the person inside the car assaulted him, taking his wallet and his truck.

The victim suffered gunshot wounds to his foot, thigh, wrist and back, reports said.

He made it back to Tres Bellotas Ranch, about 10 miles southwest of Arivaca, where he was discovered by Border Patrol agents. They took him to the Arivaca Volunteer Fire Department, where a LifeNet helicopter flew him to University Medical Center in Tucson for treatment.

Detectives from the Pima County Sheriff’s Department have turned the case over to Mexican law enforcement officials, the report said.
