Spread the wealth
Editor:
Recently, Sen. McCain asserted that Sen. Obama’s desire to “spread the wealth” should he be elected president, essentially means America would become a socialist state.
During the past eight years, as President Bush spread wealth among Wall Street CEOs and their minions; aided and abetted by Sen. McCain and much of the Republican leadership, I don’t recall the term “socialist” having been applied to any of them.
Surely it is time to spread the wealth among those who provide it, the American taxpayers.
