Country Fair White Elephant Parade countdown

The 44th Annual Country Fair White Elephant Parade kicks off tomorrow at 10 a.m.

This year’s parade theme is “Serving the Community.”

Each year, the parade draws a large viewing crowd that lines the route down La Canada Drive, beginning at Camino Casa Verde.

To clear the parade route in time, the northbound lanes on La Canada from Continental Road to Camino Casa Verde will be closed at 8:30 a.m.

Staging of entries starts at 9 a.m., and the parade itself gets under way at 10 a.m. and will last until about noon, when the last entry turns off La Canada onto Paseo del Prado, near the West Center.

The southbound lanes of La Canada will remain open to traffic during the parade.

Below is a lineup of the parade entries which are being judged for first and second place awards by a panel of judges located on the parade stand just north of the Best Western Hotel on La Canada.
