Tax plans’ benefits

Editor:

The tax effects of Obama’s plan cited by Bobby Jordan (Truth about taxes 10/12) and attributed by him to the American Enterprise Institute may well be correct, although I could not find them on the AEI’s Web site.

Their spin is, of course, anti-Obama. Not surprising coming from an outfit so far right that it is in perpetual danger of capsizing to starboard at the next ripple, and one so deeply embedded in Exon-Mobil’s pockets that it offered a reward of $10,000 (plus travel expenses) to any scientist who published a paper contesting any item in the UN-sponsored IPCC’s first report on climate change.

A detailed comparison of the two tax plans by the Tax Policy Center showed that people at my income level would, on the average, benefit slightly from each tax plan (which matched my own rough calculations).

That is the only halfway-detailed plan-comparison I have found, so I would welcome info on other credible sources.
