BusinessA new face at Talk of the Town salon
By Jaime Richardson, Green Valley NewsSahuarita resident Ericka Tremain says she loves her job as an estheticism because she enjoys helping people feel better about themselves. Tremain is a licensed estheticism, or facialist, at Talk of the Town salon, 1910 N. La Canada Dr., Green Valley, where she performs facials, peels, waxing and microdermabrasion treatments. She began work at the salon in August, and was previously employed by Studio 250 Hair Design in Green Valley, which closed down unexpectedly earlier this year. “Facials stimulate the skin’s metabolism, while detoxifying and nourishing the skin,” she explained. They also reduce stress, slow down premature ageing and correct certain skin conditions, such as oiliness or dryness. But Tremain says the benefits of receiving a facial aren’t just physical. Her own experience with caustic acne as a teenager severely affected her self-esteem, she says. After receiving dermatologist-recommended skin treatments from an esthetician, her acne cleared — and she felt like a new person. “I want to help other people who may be going through the same things that I did,” she said. “I absolutely love what I do.” Tremain also offers several skin care and cosmetic products for sale, including Youngblood Mineral makeup and products from the Jan Marini and Bioelements skincare lines. Hours 8 a.m. - 5 p.m., Wednesdays and Thursdays. To make an appointment, contact Tremain at Talk of the Town salon, (520)-829-7608. jrichardson@gvnews.com | 547-9726
