Too much noise

Editor:

Thank goodness the political conventions are over.

I tried to listen to them but there was too much noise. As soon as a speaker said a few words, the noise came on, people screaming, hollering, clapping hands and the speaker’s voice drowned in all the noise.

A better way would have been to set aside 45 minutes before a speech for the public there to scream, holler, clapping hands and make a racket and then have 15 quiet minutes for the speakers so we who watch TV at home could hear what was said.

Sorry to say, I wore out the mute button on my remote control,
