There were two burglaries in Green Valley over the past week, Pima County Sheriff’s reports said.

The first was at a house in the 1500 block of West Placita Helada.

Sheriff’s Auxiliary Volunteers checking on the home noticed that a sliding glass door was left open and notified the Sheriff’s Department. When officers arrived, they found that a big screen television and a desktop computer were missing.

The theft occurred sometime between last Friday and Tuesday, reports said.

Another residence in the 200 block of La Canada Drive was discovered burglarized Wednesday.

The owner of the vacant rental property called authorities to report a missing TV and DVD player.

Officers found no signs of forced entry.

These are the latest in a series of burglaries targeted mostly at vacant houses in Green Valley. In the majority of the cases, the only items taken were televisions and other electronic equipment.
