CLAIRE M. ATKINS

passed away peacefully after a long illness on Aug. 19, 2008, in Tucson.

Claire was born Aug. 25, 1933, in Oswego, N.Y.

She was preceded in death by her parents Leland and Olivine Downes, as well as brothers and sisters.

Claire is survived by her husband William Atkins of Green Valley.

Claire previously owned C.J.’s Bookstore in Oswego. She was a very dedicated vocalist serving as a soloist at St. Louis Church in Oswego for many years.
