Safeway hosting MDA fundraiser

The Safeway supermarket in Sahuarita is hosting a fundraiser this weekend for the Muscular Dystrophy Association.

On Saturday and Sunday, Aug. 23-24, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., Safeway employees will be roasting mild and hot chiles from Hatch, N.M., that will be available for purchase.

In addition, watermelon slices and sandwiches will be available for purchase.

Plus, donations for the MDA will be accepted at this store at 1301 W. Duval Mine Road through Saturday, Sept. 6.
