GVR facilities manager retires

Executive director of Green Valley Recreation Anndrea Blackshear has confirmed that 14-year employee and maintenance and facilities manager Ed Coad was retiring.

The news was announced to the GVR staff on Monday, Aug. 18.

Coad did not wish to be interviewed or answer questions regarding his decision to retire. He said, “I’m a guy who’s retiring from his position. I’m not prepared to make any other statements.”

Blackshear said Coad’s resignation would be effective in a month.
