Dems slant votes

Editor:

Recently you printed two letters chiding Senator John Mc Cain for missing a procedural vote on the Democratic party-sponsored (lack of drilling) energy measure.

However both letters conveniently omit the fact that Senator Barack Obama also missed the same vote. In fact, so did several other Senators most of them Democrats.

Moreover, even if all the senators who missed the vote voted for this do nothing partisan energy bill, the vote would still have failed handily. The Congressional Records show that McCain missed a little over 300 votes and Obama missed some 284 during this election period. .

The constant blaming of Republicans for every problem is wearing a little thin. Especially when you consider that, despite campaign promises to the country, gas prices have skyrocketed.

When the Democrats took control of the House and Senate nearly two years ago gas was selling for about $2.50. Now they have reach some $4.00 per gallon. No wonder their approval rating has plummeted to 12%
