Despite the fact....

Editor:

Despite gas prices being 70 percent higher than when the Democrats took over the House, Nancy (“I’m trying to save the planet”) Pelosi managed to adjourn the House for the month of August.

She won by a single vote.

Several Democrats voted with the Republicans to stay in session until the energy crisis has been dealt with.

Despite the fact that an overwhelming majority of the American people want to increase the supply of domestically-produced oil, Pelosi and her minions ignored the people’s desires and chose instead to support the special interests.

Ms. Pelosi’s solution to the energy crisis was to ask the president to release oil from the Strategic Reserve.

By doing that, Nancy is admitting that we have a supply problem.

Only she wants a solution that will get the Democrats through the November elections, without expanding supply by one barrel.

Any wonder why this Democratic Congress has a 9 percent approval level?
