Wildlife in Green Valley

Published: Saturday, July 26, 2008 5:11 PM MST

Editor:

Now that there is a new family of coyotes in the area, I think this is a good time to remind everyone what happened two years ago. A coyote got aggressive due to humans feeding them, so most of the coyotes in our area had to be shot to death until they felt safe that the aggressive one had been eliminated.

I know they’re cute and it’s sometimes hard to resist throwing them something but, please, we don’t want a repeat of two years ago, and it’s also against the law to feed wildlife.

It’s great to have them back in our area again and they shouldn’t bother you if you don’t bother or feed them. So, please, do not feed the wildlife and let’s just enjoy seeing them around again.
