Rio Rico developer Tobin dies

RIO RICO - Guy Tobin, president of Rio Rico Properties Inc., the Arizona Division of Avatar Holdings Inc., has died. He was 53.
Tobin promoted the development The Villages of Rio Rico, helping it expand from one development to six projects, including custom homes, golf course homes at Tubac Golf Resort, equestrian properties, and soon-to-be golf course homes in Rio Rico.
Tobin also oversaw renovation on the former Rio Rico Resort, upgrading the Swim, Racquet & Fitness Center, and revitalization The Plaza at Rio Rico, attracting such major tenants as Wells Fargo Bank.
