NewsGreen Valley Recreation may change its rules for guest passes during its board of directors meeting Tuesday. Board meetings are open to GVR members and the general public. Currently, GVR grants free booklets with 14 passes to members. There’s no charge. One argument against the current policy is that the passes won’t open gates. There has to be a monitor present to open the gate. Members can also buy passes for $1 a day, but the purchaser must specify when it will be used. Under one proposal to be discussed at the board meeting is that members can buy a card for unlimited use for $20 and could get a second card for $10, said Jim Burt. Director Burt headed the committee that came up with the recommendation. Three focus groups met several times to contribute to the recommendations. The board will meet at 1:30 p.m., Tuesday, in the Anza Room at Santa Rita Springs recreation center. jlamb@gvnews.com | 547-9749
