NewsGreen Valley News For a second consecutive week gasoline prices have fallen in Arizona, but authorities say it’s too early to predict a trend. AAA Arizona, the auto club, said Thursday that gasoline prices are down about two cents a gallon across the state. Tucson boasts the lowest average price, $3.829 a gallon. It’s highest in Flagstaff, $4.238 a gallon. The state average is $4.058. Linda Gorman, AAA Arizona public affairs manager, said the decline was welcomed, but cautioned, “It is important to consider that while oil prices have fallen, it is still too soon to call this a trend.” She also said some dealers are trying to recoup losses incurred before they could pass along the higher prices to drivers. The cheapest price for gasoline in the continental United States is South Carolina which averages $3.909 a gallon. It’s highest in California, $4.494 a gallon. jlamb@gvnews.com | 547-9749
