Fantasy vs. reality

In his letter about “fantasy versus the reality groups,” Mr. Scott Anderson praises guest columnist Don Severe for offering “facts and statistics about the increasing threats that illegal aliens present.”

This would be fine if what Mr. Severe presents were true. In the Green Valley News, he offered a list of fearful diseases that immigrants can bring into this country. He said that this list is found on the Web site of the Centers for Disease Control.

The only disease mentioned at the CDC site relating to Mexican people is tuberculosis. There is no mention of leprosy or the other terrors suggested by Mr. Severe.

The list that Mr. Severe used, and ascribed to the CDC, is actually from a Minuteman Web site. I would suggest that Mr. Anderson check who is offering reality and who is offering fantasy before writing such praise for Mr. Severe’s “reality.”

" Severe and Anderson and Fanning et-all are still spewing their garbage as when I last looked which has been over a year. These guys need to get a life, or go live in the middle of Iraq where they might do some good at something like being a moving target. BAM!! "
