ObituariesHe was born on March 6, 1920, in Covington, Okla. and moved to Thayre, Kan. where he grew up. He received his Ph.D. from Texas Tech, taught years at the University of Southern Colorado. He trained in the U.S. Marines and spent years in the U.S. Navy. He is survived by his wife Martha Myers Sadler; daughters Jan (David) Murphy and Lisse Moore; sons Davy, Eric and Dan Sadler. Also surviving are a brother David Clapsaddle and his wife; 11 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and a daughter Zoe. A gathering was held to celebrate his life by his family at La Posada.
