Quail Creek golfers donate to Green Valley Junior Golf

Recently, Quail Creek golfers cleaned out their “golf lockers” and brought their collection of used golf balls to a donation bin at the Quail Creek Pro Shop.

The ultimate home for these used balls is the Green Valley Junior Golf program.

An idea conceived by club members Carol Brett and Roger Shipley resulted in a tremendous response from the golfing residents of Quail Creek.

A total of 15,000 golf balls were collected, boxed and loaded onto a truck for transport to the Green Valley Junior Golf program at Haven Golf Course.

A big thank you goes to Quail Creek Director of Golf, Dennis Johnson, for his support of this effort as well as to Pro Shop Manager Don Lehman for his help in packaging and coordinating the loading of the 15,000 balls.

Organizers Brett and Shipley, along with the Green Valley Junior Golf program extend their thanks to the many golfers at Quail Creek who participated in this worthwhile event.
