PFLAG meets at 2 p,m. at the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship House, 17616 S. La Canada Drive, Sahuarita. This is a confidential support group for parents, friends, grandparents of lelslbians, gays, bisexuals and transgendered persons. Information: June Wortman: 648-5877.

Green Valley Wood Carvers meet at 8:30 a.m. at Friends in Deed, 301 Camino Casa Verde. Wood carvers interested in a active cllub, as well as beginners, are welcome. Information: Don Moberg, 777-7182.

May 13

Scandinavian Group meets at 5 p.m. at Desert Hills Lutheran Church’s Fellowship Hall. Bring a dish to pass to serve 8 to 10 and table service. There will be a film at Norway’s natural wonders with music complimenting the visuals. Anyone of Scandinavian descent is welcome. Information: LuAnn, 399-9241.

Rotary Club of Green Valley meets at 11:45 a.m. at St. Francis-in-the-Valley Episcopal Church, 600 La Canada Drive. Dr. Manny Valenzuela, assistant superintendent for Sahuarita Schools, will discuss “Data Driven Structures for Success.” Greeter: Joyce Finkelstein; invocator: Dave Appleton.

Green Valley Branch No. 77, Fleet Reserve Association, will have special luncheon meeting at 11:30 a.m. at the Cow Palace in Amado. There will be an installation of officers. National President Larry Boudreaux will be the installing officer. There also will be an award in the Annual Americanism Essay Contest. Active duty, reserve, retired personnel, and honorably discharged former members of all services who have had some enlisted service and their spouses are welcome.
