Green Valley Chamber Music Society meets at 9:45 a.m. at St. Francis-in-the-Valley Episcopal Church, 600 La Canada Drive. The GV String Ensemble will play a new piece: “Sinfonia Concertante” by local composer Fred Hughes. Fred and Jean Hughes will perform pieces for violin and keyboard by Faure, Elgar, Bach and Borowsky. Marya Giesy and Jean Hughes on violins, Marion Wolfe on viola, and Tom Hanselmann on cello will play two movements of “String Quartet K. 160” by Mozart. Free and open to the public.
