PHILIP “PHIL” CHARLES STOLP

March 17, 1920 - April 24, 2008

Phil Stolp, beloved husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, passed on April 24, 2008, at the age of 88 in Green Valley.

Phil was born on March 17, 1920, in Des Moines, Iowa. He graduated from Westmount High School in Montreal, Quebec, Canada, received a BS in aeronautical engineering at Iowa State University in 1941, was employed by General Motors for 42 years and retired from Detroit Diesel Allison to Green Valley in 1983.

Survivors include Dorothy, his wife of 65 years; daughters Bonnie Stolp of Green Valley and Nancy (Olin) Willett of Brookfield, Wis.; granddaughter Sallie (Steve) Shea of Milwaukee, Wis.; grandsons Jason (Shaila) Willett of Lake Geneva, Wis. and Richard Willett of Butler, Wis.; great-granddaughters Kayli and Ella; as well as two nephews.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
