KENNETH PAUL DIX, 75,

of Green Valley, passed away on Sunday, April 13, 2008.

He was born in New Hartford, Iowa on June 29, 1932. He was preceded in death by his mother and father Mary and Henry Dix; sister Helen; and brothers Donald, Lloyd, Lee and Duane. He is survived by sisters Opal Reams and Eileen Smith; wife Florence “Flo”; daughter Johanna (Al); son Paul; and granddaughter Jennifer; as well as many nieces and nephews.

Ken served in the USAF in Bitburg, Germany from 1953 to 1956. He received a BS degree in Electronic Engineering from the University of Southern California. He retired from Rockwell International in Anaheim, Calif. in January 1989. He worked as a Project Engineering Manager on the Minuteman Missile Program and on the Space Shuttle Program during the development phase.

He retired to Tucson in 1991 where he enjoyed travel, was an avid golfer and a member of the Green Valley Elks. Before his retirement. Ken also enjoyed many years as a private pilot.

A memorial Mass will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, April 26, 2008, at Our Lady of the Valley Catholic Church.
