Ivana Trump, ex-wife of real estate mogul Donald Trump, was to tie the knot Saturday evening with Italian entrepreneur Rossano Rubicondi, her spokeswoman Catherine Saxton said. The wedding was taking place at Mar-a-Lago, Donald Trump’s opulent seaside mansion in Palm Beach. The estate also hosted the billionaire’s wedding to Slovenian model Melania Knauss in 2005. Donald Trump, whom she divorced in 1990, attended, as did their children. Trump, 59, and Rubicondi, 36, have been together for about six years, Saxton said. They got engaged in September.

  • Matchbox Twenty has canceled a performance at a large rodeo event in Wyoming out of concern for the animals. Lead singer Rob Thomas confirmed that the band is pulling out of its July 18 show at Cheyenne Frontier Days, which bills itself as the world’s biggest outdoor rodeo.

“We ask that (fans) please understand that it would be impossible for us to put ourselves in the position of making money from what we believe to be the mistreatment of animals,” according to a statement from Thomas posted Saturday on the band’s Web site.

The Grammy-winning band is still scheduled to perform this summer at the North Dakota State Fair, which includes rodeo events.

  • Heather Mills says she snapped when she poured a jug of water over the head of ex-husband Paul McCartney’s lawyer during their bitter divorce battle. Mills, 40, was awarded a $48.6 million settlement from McCartney last month. They had been married for four years.

  • She told Britain’s GMTV that she became angry when his lawyer, Fiona Shackleton, argued that full details of the case, including some related to the couple’s 4-year-old daughter, Beatrice, should be disclosed.

“Mrs. Shackleton said something under her breath so I cleansed and baptized her,” Mills said. “I thought she looked fantastic, I thought it did her the world of good.”
