Winter visitors, new dog appreciate Anamax Park

Published: Tuesday, April 1, 2008 8:25 PM MST

Dear Editor:

My wife and I are two of your infamous “snowbirds.” We live in Pennsylvania and have been coming to the area since 1991. This year, we came with extra baggage: a 7-month-old Miniature Schnauzer puppy.

We have hear various stories about a fenced-in area for dogs but had no idea to its location. In early March, we obtained specific directions as to the exact location of Anamax Park, and we brought Fritz to meet new friends. We have enjoyed the facilities immensely and have visited Anamax about eight times.

It is only now that I have become aware of the fact that we do not have these kind of facilities in central Pennsylvania.

Fritz, my wife and I want to thank the Town of Sahuarita and all the staff for providing such an excellent place for pets and their owners. I do not know whose idea created this park but please convey our appreciation.

We are hoping to bring Fritz back next year.
