SportsFrom The Associated Press Ogilvy holds one-shot lead, rain stops a Tiger slide DORAL, Fla.—Tiger Woods finally looked human Saturday at the CA Championship. Then came some help from the heavens. Woods couldn’t make a putt, scowled more than he smiled, and was struggling to stay at par on a day when the Blue Monster was yielding birdies. What stopped his slide was a rumble of thunder and a torrential storm that dumped 3 inches of rain and suspended the third round until Sunday morning. Geoff Ogilvy was at 14-under par through 11 holes and kept his one-shot lead, only now it was Adam Scott on his heels, not the world’s No. 1 player who has won every tournament he has played since September. Woods was at 11 under, even for the day, the only player among the top 18 who was not under par for the round. Wimmer wins in Nashville; Bowyer takes Series lead GLADEVILLE, Tenn.—Scott Wimmer passed Richard Childress Racing teammate Clint Bowyer with 21 laps to go and held on to win the Nationwide Series’ Pepsi 300 on Saturday at Nashville Superspeedway. The Childress cars took the top two spots, six days after the team swept the top three positions in the Sprint Cup series race at Bristol. Wimmer edged Bowyer by 0.578 seconds for his sixth victory in 149 Nationwide Series starts and first since 2003. Carl Edwards was third, followed by Brad Keselowski and Kelly Bires. Bowyer took the series points lead from Kevin Harvick, the fellow Childress Sprint Cup driver who skipped the Nashville race. Kyle Busch started on the pole and was the class of the field, leading a race-high 125 laps before spinning out with 62 laps left. The Sprint Cup points leader grazed Bowyer, who was passing on the inside, and was forced to pit for repairs. Busch finished 16th. Fish upsets No. 1 Federer in Indian Wells semis INDIAN WELLS, Calif.—Roger Federer lost again, this time in one of the biggest tennis upsets in memory. Mardy Fish, an American ranked 98th, shocked No. 1 Federer in straight sets Saturday, with the lopsided score — 6-3, 6-2 — making it even more of a stunner. Fish, who pulled off by far the biggest of his upsets he’s strung together this week in the Pacific Life Open, moved into Sunday’s final against No. 3 Novak Djokovic, who ousted defending champion Rafael Nadal by the same score. Federer, the Swiss star who has seemed almost invincible most of the past five years, has looked vulnerable so far this season. He hasn’t reached a final and has lost three times, including defeats by eventual champion Djokovic in the Australian Open semifinals, and by Andy Murray this month in the first round at Dubai. The 26-year-old Federer, who was slowed by mononucleosis early in the season, doesn’t seem overly concerned. West leads Hornets over Celtics NEW ORLEANS—David West scored 37 points and the New Orleans Hornets overcame an early 15-point deficit to defeat the Boston Celtics 113-106 on Saturday night. Chris Paul, despite playing only 28 minutes because of foul trouble, had 19 points and hit a pair of clutch jumpers in the waning minutes as New Orleans added a win over the mighty Celtics to recent triumphs over San Antonio, the Los Angeles Lakers and Houston. The Celtics came in riding a four-game winning streak that included a three-game swing through Texas, with wins over San Antonio, Houston and Dallas. But Boston seemed to tire in the fourth quarter as New Orleans surged to its ninth straight victory at home while stopping Boston’s road winning streak at eight.
