VIVIAN (CORNEBY) SADOWY
passed away at the age of 76 on Tuesday, March 11, 2008, in her home in Green Valley.
Vivian was born July 6, 1931, to Amos Ernest Corneby and Hazel Ruth Patterson. She attended Union Endicott High School, graduating in 1949.
After graduation, she attended Keuka College before marrying Peter Sadowy on Feb. 2, 1952. In 1954, they moved to Lansing, N.Y. and raised five children. Vivian worked for the Lansing school district until she retired in June 1986.
In June of 2005, Vivian was preceded in death by Peter, her husband of 52 years.
She is survived by her five children Patricia (the late Calvin) Minor of New Haven, Vt., Donna of Lansing, Michael (Jean) of Clarence Center, N.Y., Karen (Mike) Haracourt of Sahuarita, and Nicholas (Carrie) of Folsom, Calif.; as well as eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
If desired, the family asks that donations in her memory be made to The Animal League of Green Valley.
