Sen. Kyl to speak at Chamber event

U.S. Sen. John Kyl, R-Ariz, will present a state of the nation address to the Green Valley Sahuarita Chamber of Commerce on Thursday, March 27.

The senator will be speaking from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the Canoa Hills Center, 3660 S. Camino del Sol.

Meanwhile, the Chamber is hosting a luncheon Friday featuring representatives for 2008 presidential candidates.

The featured speakers will be Mike Hellon, Southern Arizona campaign director for Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz; David Higuera, representing the Sen. Barack Obama, D-Ill., campaign; and Dr. Marilyn Heins, a pediatrician and author representing Sen. Hillary Clinton, D-N.Y.

The luncheon is $12 per person and starts at noon (registration is at 11:40 a.m.), at La Perla restaurant at La Posada.
