P.E.O. Reciprocity Council will have its annual spring tea at 2 p.m. at St. Francis-in-the-Valley Episcopal Church, 600 La Canada Drive. Punky Griggs and Jackie Smith will present “Poetry Through the Years.” Members of local chapters, groups and guests, as well as unaffiliates are welcome. Reservations not required. Tumac‡cori National Historical Park will have a service of commemoration at 10 a.m. of the life of Father Eusebio Francisco Kino who explored and founded missions in Arizona and Sonora in the 17th century. Friends of Music presents the Tucson Symphony Orchestra’s Piano Trio at 7 p.m. at the Villages Rec Center, 400 W. San Ignacio (off La Canada.) Michael Fan, violinist, has performed around the country and plays in local clubs; Paula Fan, pianist, has performed extensively in the Far East, Australia, Europe and the U.S.; Nelzimar Neves, principal cellest of the TSO, is a native of Brazil and has performed throughout South America. The concert is funed in part by the Tucson Pima Arts Council. It is free but a donation of $10 per person would be appreciated. Information: Tom Hanselmann, 648-7375.

A support and bereavement group will be held from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. at Prestige Assisted Living, 1175 S. Abrego Drive. Staff from Valor HospiceCare and Palliative Care will be leading the group. Information: 399-0200.

March 18

Valley Players will host a open house from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. at East Center to introduce interested GVR members to the Players’ opportunities. GVR photo ID required. The regular monthly meeting will follow the open house.

Friends of the Santa Rita Experimental Range will present a lecture at 6 p.m. at East Center by Mitchel P. McClaran, director for research at the experimental range. He will describe the vegetation on the Santa Rita Range, how it changes through the seasons and has changed over the past 100 years. A field trip to view and discuss the vegetation and wildflowers will take place the next day. Information: Malcolm McGregor, 625-9355.

March 19

Tri State Club meets at 5 p.m. at West Center. There will be a catered dinner of baked ham, followed by entertainment by Maguire Academy of Irish Dance. Reservations due by March 13. March 22

New England Club meets at West Center. Social at 5:30 p.m. followed by dinner catered by Arizona Family Restaurant. Entertainment includes the Green Valley Aires (barbershop).
