Taste of Santa Cruz Valley to fund scholarships

Taste of the Santa Cruz Valley at 2 p.m. March 16 at the Country Club of Green Valley will benefit the Valley Scholarship Foundation - Adrianna Rebecca Klawson Memorial.

Graduating seniors from Sahuarita, Nogales, Rio Rico and Patagonia High Schools will have an opportunity to benefit from scholarships financed with proceeds from this event.

This year, 300-plus attendees are anticipated, organizers say.

The Green Valley Stage Band with Joey Lessa, Bavarian Brass Band and Sierra Brass Sextet will provide entertainment during the three-hour event.

A ticket includes offerings from Lavender Restaurant (Green Valley), Wisdom’s Caf/ (Tumac‡cori), Cow Palace (Amado), Los Pavo Reales Restaurant (Green Valley), Esplendor Resort and Country Club (Rio Rico), China View (Green Valley), Gathering Grounds (Patagonia), Fry’s Market Place Bakery & Deli (Sahuarita), Villa Pristini Ristorante Italiano (Nogales), Kokopelli’s Gelato Factory (Green Valley), Callaghan Vineyards & Winery (Elgin), Gaucho Imports, Sonoita Vineyards & Winery, Quail Distributing, Villa Pristini Wines (Nogales), Gadsden Coffee Co. (Arivaca) plus water and soda.

Sponsors include KGVY Radio 1080, Freeport-McMoRan Copper & Gold, Fry’s Food Stores, Country Club of Green Valley, Realty Executives of Southern Arizona, Desert Diamond Casino and Jim Click Automotive Team.
