Admit it. When Madonna was writhing around onstage in a wedding gown to “Like a Virgin” years ago, the last place you’d expect to see her was in something called the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

Time has a way of changing things. On Monday, she will come to the stage of the Waldorf-Astoria to accept enshrinement. Classmate John Mellencamp, who also churned out hit after hit in the 1980s, will join her.

The Dave Clark Five, whose lead singer Mike Smith died of pneumonia on Feb. 28, are being inducted as well as Philly soul legends Kenny Gamble and Leon Huff, Canadian songwriter Leonard Cohen, surf rockers the Ventures and blues harmonica ace Little Walter.

  • Lisa Marie Presley wanted to keep her pregnancy private, but felt she had to say something when photos of her looking heavier were ridiculed in the news media.

“After being the target all week of slanderous and degrading stories, horribly manipulated pictures and articles in the media, I have had to show my cards and announce under the gun and under vicious personal attack that I am in fact pregnant,” the 40-year-old singer wrote on her MySpace page.

  • Presley and her husband, music producer Michael Lockwood, are expecting a baby next fall, her spokeswoman, Cindy Guagenti, said. It will be the third child for Presley, who has two children from her marriage to ex-husband Danny Keough.

Justin Timberlake is producing an NBC pilot about a bachelor who strikes out with the ladies.

The Grammy-winning pop star is an executive producer on “My Problem with Women,” which follows thirtysomething Jose as he attempts to understand his romantic failures through therapy sessions, Reveille Studios announced.

The show is based on “Mi Problema con las Mujeres,” a Peruvian TV comedy.

Timberlake launched a record label last year, and co-founded the William Rast fashion line with friend Trace Ayala.
