Humorist Garrison Keillor put his historic St. Paul home up for sale, a few weeks after a dispute with his neighbor over her building plans ended up in court. The host of public radio’s “A Prairie Home Companion” is asking $1.65 million for the seven-bedroom, five-bath home, according to its listing on Realtor.com.

In January, Keillor and his wife sued next-door neighbor Lori Anderson to stop her from building a two-story garage-and-studio addition to her house. Keillor’s lawsuit said the project would “obstruct the access of light and air” to his property. The lawsuit was settled through mediation about a week later. The terms were not made public.

  • Brad Paisley’s “Online” video received four Country Music Television awards nominations, and Sugarland received three for their video “Stay.”

Carrie Underwood, Kellie Pickler, Kenny Chesney, LeAnn Rimes, Rascal Flatts, Taylor Swift and Trace Adkins were next with three nominations apiece. The fan-voted nominations were announced Thursday by the Viacom Inc.-owned network. Miley Cyrus and father Billy Ray host the ceremony April 14 from Nashville.

Whoopi Goldberg says her friend Patrick Swayze, who has been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer, is the reason she won an Oscar for “Ghost.”

  • “When I won my Academy Award, the only person I really thanked was Patrick,” Goldberg recalled Thursday on ABC daytime talk show “The View.”

Goldberg, who starred alongside Swayze in the 1990 film, earned a best supporting actress trophy for her roll. The 52-year-old actress-comedian said Swayze persuaded director Jerry Zucker to cast her in the film amid “some resistance.” According to Goldberg, Swayze said, “I’m not making this movie unless you put Whoopi Goldberg in there.”

Swayze, 55, has been undergoing treatment for pancreatic cancer, his representative Annett Wolf said Wednesday.
