TSO Brass Quintet to perform at Desert Hills Lutheran

The Tucson Symphony Orchestra’s finely-tuned brass quintet and percussion recital group will play in Green Valley at 2 p.m., Sunday, March 2, at the Desert Hills Lutheran Church, 2150 S. Camino del Sol.
Individual tickets, available at the door or from the TSO box office (520-882-8585), are $18.
Performing will be Elizabeth Bright, trumpet; Micah Wilkinson, trumpet; Victor Valenzuela, horn; Michael Becker, trombone; Michael Sherline, tuba; and Homero Ceron, percussion.
Sponsoring the concert are the Green Valley News & Sun and the Friends and Admirers of the Tucson Symphony Orchestra.
The Quintet will perform Anthony Plog’s “Four Sketches;” David Uber’s “Five Short Sketches;” Jan Bach’s “Rounds and Dances;” Eugene Bozza’s “Sonatine;” and George Green’s “Rainbow Ripples.”
Following the intermission, the group will present “Mosaics” by Plog; “Adagio,” Samuel Barber; “Dance Features,” Jay Vosk; and “Music Hall Suite,” Joseph Horovitz.
Friends and Admirers of the Tucson Symphony Orchestra, also known as FATSO, is a local TSO support group dedicated to bringing fine music to the community and supporting TSO.
In addition, throughout the season, FATSO members participate in five dinner/symphony concert events with round-trip transportation to Tucson Music Hall.
