SUSANNE UNRUH, 68,

a resident of Sahuarita for ten years, passed away at St. Mary’s Hospice on Wednesday, Feb. 13, 2008.

She was born in Great Bend, Kan. to John and Nora Ellen Graham Munds on Aug. 22, 1939, and graduated from Burrton High School in Burrton, Kan. in 1957.

Susanne married Ernest Eugene Unruh in Okmulgee, Okla. on June 28, 1957, and they lived in Wichita, Kan. until moving to Seattle, Wash. in 1968. She retired as an assistant manager for Sears after 28 years and moved to Sahuarita.

She is survived by Ernest, her husband of 50 years; daughters Brenda K. Chevalier of Bellingham, Wash. and Sandy L. (Randy) Hume of Albuquerque, N.M.; grandchildren Travis (Cindy) Wood of Jacksonville, Fla., Tyler Wood of Kirkland, Wash., Tara Wood of Albuquerque, and John Austin McIntosh of Bellingham. Also surviving are brothers John (Janey) Munds of Hutchinson, Kan. and Donald M. (Carol) Munds of Cookson, Okla.; sister Sally (Vern) Ediger of Halstead, Kan.; brother-in-law Allen Unruh of Pittsburg, Mo.; and sisters-in-law Verda (Dick) Hoskinson of Wichita, Elvera (Jerry) Pitsch of Oak Harbor, Wash. and Violet (Vince) Sipes of Wichita.

A graveside service will be held today at Burrton City Cemetery in Burrton, Kan. with Pastor James Gundy officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to the Ruth Dole Memorial Library of Burrton or to Carondelet Hospice of Tucson.
