The Tucson Chapter of the Brandeis University National Women’s Committee has invited Pete Hamill, Jennifer Lee Carrell, Mort Rosenblum and Charles Todd, all celebrated authors, to its 12th annual Book & Author Luncheon on March 6 at Skyline Country Club in Tucson.
On March 5, the two-day event begins with a gala evening of dinner and dance, where the guests have an opportunity to meet and mingle with the authors.
Hamill, journalist and screenwriter, is the award-winning author of numerous books, most notably The New York Times best-seller “Snow in August,” as well as “Forever.” His latest, “North River,” received starred reviews from Publishers Weekly and Booklist.
Carrell's New York Times best-seller, “Interred With their Bones,” a Shakespearean thriller, was listed by A as one of the top 100 books of 2007. She is a former Harvard University instructor.
Rosenblum, former editor of the International Herald Tribune and Associated Press special correspondent, has written 12 books and been nominated for the Pulitzer Prize eight times. He writes frequently about travel and food.
Todd, actually a mother (Caroline) and son (Charles) writing team, created the Inspector Ian Rutledge mystery series.
