Ellen Pinkerton receives affiliate of the year award

Green Valley Mortgage's Ellen Pinkerton received the 2007 “Affiliate of the Year” award from the Green Valley Chapter of the Women’s Council of Realtors.

Owner/Broker Rex Rogers, credited Pinkerton’s dedication to realtors and buyers, work ethic and personality as a few of the reasons she received the award.

Judi Monday joins Donna Marshall Realty

Donna Marshall, owner/operator of Donna Marshall & Associates Realty, has added Judi Monday to her expanding staff.


Monday is an entrepreneur, marketing expert and a skilled negotiator. She works with home sellers to solve issues, create appropriate multi-media marketing plans and offers free staging and interior design recommendations.

Betty Soli of Black & Soli earns MBA degree

Managing Partner Stephen Soli, of the firm Black & Soli P.C. CPA, announced that Betty L. Soli has obtained her MBA degree, with honors, from the University of Phoenix.

Soli heads up the business accounting and tax division for the company and is involved in the personal, estate and trust income tax divisions of the firm.

Soli is celebrating her 24th year with Black & Soli.

Pettigrew new owner of Kokopelli’s Gelato Factory

Heather Pettigrew is the new CEO/owner of Kokopelli’s Gelato Factory in the Madera Plaza on White House Canyon Road.

A new line of products came with the change, including scones, handmade pizza calzones and soy gelato. They were added to traditional menu items such as home-made granitas, cookies, muffins, coffee and espresso.

Emily R. Allen, CPA is open for business

Emily Allen announced the opening of her new business, Emily R. Allen, CPA.

The business will focus on tax preparation, tax planning, and bookkeeping.

Allen provides personalized service, and often meets clients in their homes.

Allen has a BS in accounting, and a Masters degree in Tax. Emily is a licensed CPA.

Lutheran Social Services expands service area

Lutheran Social Services of the Southwest has expanded its services in Tubac, Green Valley and Sahuarita.

Lutheran Social Services provides a host of private-pay in-home services that includes housekeeping, attendant care, personal care and respite.

The program is available to the entire community.

Lutheran Social Services offers services to seniors and adults with disabilities in the comfort of their own homes offering peace of mind to families by providing the very finest in quality in-home care for their loved ones.

Caregivers are bonded and insured.

State health-care assistance programs contract with Lutheran Social Services, and individuals who qualify for state assistance can request it as a provider.

Under certain circumstances, Lutheran Social Services also hires family members and provides them with appropriate training.
