Undertones, the Green Valley women’s boutique for bras and bra accessories, has relocated to 1910 N. La Canada Drive, next to Talk of the Town in the Vaughan Plaza.

Owner Monica St. Clare says she decided to move the store from its previous location on La Canada, south of Continental Road, to one more accessible for her Sahuarita customers.

Among the changes made, Undertones will no longer carry Flax brand clothing, though some items are still available at discounted prices.

And while the new space is smaller (“cozier”), she says it’s an upgrade.

“I wanted to focus primarily on bras and bra-fitting, and now I can do that,” said St. Clare, a former health and fitness director who has owned Undertones, formerly called The Bra Lady, since August 2006.

Every bra style and brand fits differently, and getting the right fit is important; posture and back problems may result from wearing the wrong style or size, St. Clare said.

“Wearing the right bra gives you confidence,” she said.

“You can see the difference immediately. Women just light up — their whole demeanor changes.”

Sixteen brands are available in sizes ranging from 32A to 54K.

St. Clare takes special orders for colors and styles, and offers the option of mailing orders to snowbirds or customers who may have relocated.

Accessory products such as bra strap converters, extenders and comfort shoulder straps are also available.

“I got into this business because I like helping people,” she said. “Some women come in here with body-image issues, or they’re modest, but I put them at ease.”

Hours are 10 a.m. - 3 p.m., Tuesday through Friday, and Saturday, 10 a.m. - 1 p.m.

Special appointments for fittings can be made for before or after business hours.
