Wearable Art in the Park will be held at Sahuarita’s Rancho Resort from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. There will be jewelry, including sterling silver, Indian, precious stones, beaded, glass, wire wrap, plus hand-painted clothing, shawls, wraps, accessories by Sarah Elliott and Vesta Abel. Also Kettle Corn and refreshments. Admission free.

La Canada Desert Homes I Homeowners’ Association will have its annual meeting from 2 to 4 p.m. at West Center. For information, call Rey Otto, 207-6456.

Demonstration for peace, protecting the Constitution and impeachment, 9 to 10 a.m. at intersection of La Canada Drive and Esperanza Boulevard.

ALOHA, Adult Loss of Hearing Association, meets at 10 a.m. at La Posada’s rec center. Aaron Krevitz, local martial arts instructor has researched the correlation between hearing loss and loss of balance and will offer helpful suggestions on avoiding falls. Toastmasters of Green Valley meets at 8:15 a.m. at the First American Title Insurance Co. in the Green Valley Mall (West Side). Toastmasters is an organization dedicated to providing a mutually supportive and positive learning environment for improving communication and leadership skills. Kiwanis Club of the Santa Ritas meets at 7:30 a.m. for breakfast at La Posada’s rec center. Barry Peacock will speak on the Trapp Family Singers.

Feb. 8

League of Women Voters Water Tour starts at the Duval Mine Road parking lot next to the Safeway gas station at 9:30 a.m. for car pooling. Members will drive to the Green Valley Water Treatment plant for an hour-long tour and explanation of the process. Then the group will go to Kino Riparian area on Ajo Way next to Tucson Electric Park and will be joined by the Tucson group. There will be picnic tables at the park, so bring a sack lunch. Guide for both locations will be Kathy Chavez, Pima County Water Policy Manager for the Regional Flood Control District.

Arts and Crafts Festival registration begins at 8 a.m. at West Center Lobby. Current GVR membership card and Arizona tax license required. Festival will be March 7-8. For information, call Elaine Stokes, 648-3246.

Feb. 9

Sigma Alpha Iota Tucson Alumnae will have a Musicale Fund Raiser at 2 p.m. at St. Francis-in-the-Valley Episcopal Church. “Before Mozart Was Baroque” will feature Marya Giesy, violin; Helen Hanselmann and “Betty Maurstad, sopranos; Patricia Hardy, mezzo soprano; Sharlyn Matthews, piano; Judith Pottle, cello; Joan Simpson, flute; and Bob Sladky, clarinet. McCulloch-Wagner American Legion Unit 109 invites to public to a Prime Rib Dinner from 5 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at 15921 S. Houghton Road, Corona. Price is $15.
