Organizers plan Taste of Santa Cruz Valley

Taste of the Santa Cruz Valley will present food, fine wine and entertainment at the Country Club of Green Valley at 2 p.m.-5 p.m. Sunday, March 16.

The event is a fund-raising project of the Unity in the Valley Scholarship Foundation-Adrianna Rebecca Klawson Memorial.

The purpose is to provide financial assistance to students entering college after graduation from high schools within the Santa Cruz Valley, including Green Valley, Sahuarita, Tohono O’odham Nation, Pascua Yaqui Tribal Area, Amado, Arivaca, Tubac, Tumacacori, Rio Rico, Nogales and Patagonia.

Before graduation, students will be able to apply for scholarships from the Foundation.

Organizers are inviting area businesses, merchants, service providers to join the fund-raising event at different levels of sponsorship or through making contributions for the Silent Auction.

All sponsors, donors and contributors, plus participating restaurants and wineries/distributors, will be publicly acknowledged before and after the event.

Current sponsors include Fry’s Food Stores, Realty Executives of Southern Arizona, Country Club of Green Valley, Desert Diamond Casino, Jim Click Automotive Team and KGVY Radio 1080 AM.
