Goldwater Institute chief to speak in Tubac
The head of the conservative think tank Goldwater Institute in Phoenix will speak in Tubac on Saturday, Feb. 2.
She’s Darcy Olsen, president and CEO of the institute, and she’ll speak at the Tubac Community Center at 50 Bridge Road at 9:30 a.m.
Before joining the Goldwater Institute Olsen was director of Education Policy at the Cato Institute in Washington.
According to a press release Olsen has acted as a policy architect for such social reforms as school choice laws, initiatives to protect private property and broad, across the board, tax cuts.
Her Tubac visit was arranged by the Santa Cruz County Republican Party.
The meeting is free and open to the public.
