Mystery shoes
Green Valley resident Jane Lovat holds a pair of children’s shoes she discovered in the desert near her Green Valley Canoa Vistas home during one of her walks. The tennis shoes were stuffed with burlap-like material and Lovat assumes they once belonged to a little girl traveling with a group possibly illegally entering the United States. Lovat said she is not picking sides, but has compassion for the child.
