ObituariesANNE PATRICE SULLIVAN, nee COUCHMAN,
died at 11:58 p.m. on Thursday, Jan.. 10, 2008. She was born in Indianapolis, Ind., on Nov. 26, 1921, and was raised in Coatsville, Pa. She was the last surviving member of her family - she had three brothers and two sisters. She was a nurse in Philadelphia, Pa., and joined the U.S. Navy during WWII, where she met Bernard J. Sullivan, her husband of almost 63 years. Together they raised five children in Laramie, Wyo. They started coming to Green Valley in the early 80s and moved here permanently 20 years ago. Anne enjoyed the Arizona sunshine and pool walking with her friends. She had been an inspiration to many people who met her. A special thank you to the wonderful caring staff at La Hacienda Nursing Center at La Posada and at the VA Hemodialysis Unit in Tucson. Survivors include her husband; children Mary (Wally) Popp of Tubac and Baileys Harbor, Wis., B.J. (Mari) Sullivan of Reno, Nev., Barbara (Clint) Wasser of Colorado Springs, Colo., Tim Sullivan of Laramie and Teresa Sullivan of Green Valley. She also leaves behind nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. at Our Lady of the Valley Catholic Church on Tuesday, Jan. 15, 2008.
