An elderly Green Valley woman suffered injuries shortly before 3 p.m. Thursday in a collision between her golf cart and an SUV at Camino del Sol and Vista Ridge Drive.

Two people in the SUV weren’t hurt. They were wearing seat belts, according to a Green Valley Fire District report.

The woman in the golf cart “suffered severe lower leg trauma,” said the report. It also said she wasn’t wearing a seat belt.

The report said the crash happened as she was turning left onto Camino del Sol.

Southwest Ambulance took her to University Medical Center in Tucson.
